Saturday, Oct. 13, at 2:30 PM Menlo Park's Nan Bostick and Gilroy's Chris and Jack Bradshaw present a multimedia 2-to-6-handed ragtime piano romp at the First Baptist Church, 1100 Middle Ave. (corner Arbor) in Menlo Park. Proceeds to support families rebuilding in New Orleans. Historic illustrations from historian Nan Bostick’s private collection will be projected throughout the program in a show that she has presented across the country to rave reviews. Dancing, wiggling, and toe-tapping encouraged.

Bostick and the Bradshaws are concert performers and featured artists at ragtime events throughout the nation including the Blind Boone and Scott Joplin Ragtime Festivals in Missouri and the Jazz Jubilee, Sutter Creek, Orange County, and West Coast Ragtime Festivals in California. Bostick is noted for her historical presentations on the life and times of her great uncle, composer Charles N. Daniels (also known as Neil Moret), who created such standards as “You Tell Me Your Dream,” “Sweet and Lovely,” “Chlo-e,” and “She’s Funny That Way” and who also helped Scott Joplin, “The King of Ragtime,” promote his first published rag in 1899. Both Chris and Jack Bradshaw hold masters degrees in music and are specialists in performing delightful four-handed ragtime at one piano, uniquely arranged by Jack.
