Police and Fire
Woodside, posted by Matt, a resident of the Woodside: other neighborhood, on Sep 26, 2007 at 3:06 pm

The San Mateo County Sheriffs Office and the Woodside Fire Protection District are fine agencies that used to enjoy weekly press in your publication via Police and Fire Calls.

The Police Calls have been missing now for two weeks and I believe Fire Calls have been missing for at least two years.

Where did they go?

Thanks very much for your post. We had late stories last week crowding out space on the "For the Records" page where we run Police Calls; this week the reporter had difficulty getting answers to some of his questions about the information. We'll do our best to catch up in the next issue. Sorry about that.

The fire calls were discontinued several years ago, if I recall correctly, because there were very few fires. When there is a fire, we report it. If we miss something, please call our attention to it. .
