Free glow necklaces for trick-or-treaters

Original post made by Andrea Gemmet on Oct 29, 2007

The Atherton Police Department is handing out glow necklaces this Halloween. To get on, ask an officer, or go to the police station at 91 Ashfield Road, near the train station.

The necklaces are rumored to ward off ghosts and goblins, and they also help illuminate little trick-or-treaters for passing motorists, police say. Parents are encouraged to bedeck themselves in glowing necklaces as well.

For information, contact Officer Dave Metzger at 688-6500.
