Portola Valley adopts new creek setback rules

As new or extensively remodeled homes go up on properties along Portola Valley's three major creeks -- Los Trancos, Corte Madera and Sausal -- the wild corridors along the banks should become increasingly well defined after recent action by the Town Council.

I was struck by the comment - You can't get (the energy out of the creek)

A wintertime "creek" goes right through my property. I would love to get energy out of it.

Can anyone tell me - and everyone else who lives beside a creek in our Town, how I can turn an erosion problem into renewable energy?
