Who owns the intersection of MIddlefield and Oak Grove?
Atherton, posted by Mary, a resident of another community, on Mar 6, 2008 at 10:44 pm

Who owns the intersetion of Middlefield an Oak Grove? Is it Menlo Park or Atherton? Whoever owns it, PLEASE get a left turn signal FROM Middlefield TO Oak Grove in both directions. The back up at commute times is horrendous with one car per light able to make a left turn especially westbound onto Oak Grove. This corner is a traffic nightmare

If it is Menlo Park, then they should put an adaptive traffic light in place that adjusts to real time traffic conditions.

Menlo Park has money to burn apparently. Our city manager enjoys a $200k+ salary plus around $50k in benefits. Check it out!

I don't know whose domain it is --- probably Atherton's --- but I agree: a light at this intersection is desperately needed. I'm surprised there haven't been really serious accidents there, though I've seen many close calls.

It's actually owned by Stanford. It's part of their Master Plan to cause more traffic headaches in Menlo Park.

If Menlo Park has "money to burn" why doesn't it spend some on the dilapidated Park Theater? What this area really needs is another coffee shop.

It's Atherton's intersection.
