Do they frequent bordellos when out of town?

What can we do to get this Munks out of office? He visited a whore house in Nevada. If that doesn't deserve a resignation, then what will?

Congratulations Captain Wyss! You certainly deserve this promotion and the County is lucky to have such a dedicated professional.

Nothing will ever happen to Munks or Bolanos. They were detained at a whore house (a really disgusting one at that) and that is the end of it. Munks claimed he had no idea it was a house of prostitution...I guess being WAY off of the strip, in a seedy residential area, with bars on the windows wasn't a big enough clue for a seasoned professional law enforcement officer to keep him in his limosine. Nope...he was inside the house with mattresses all over the floors and the smell of urine wafting through the air. I sure hope the people he promoted are smarter that he and his under sheriff are. How stupid do these two arrogent men think the tax payers of San Mateo County are? Enough!!! Oh yes...and he was staying at a the Mandalay Bay which has a real spa if that is what he was really in search of!!!!!!!

They should have re-named the operation from "Operation Dollhouse" to "Operation Dumb and Dumber" after Sheriff Munks and UnderSheriff Bolanos were caught at the house of ill repute!!!! Man up gentlemen...admit what you did. Then you can have the "happy ending" you two were in search of! Their behavior has destroyed what little morale was left at the sheriff's office. Sad. How can anyone look at the two top men and not snicker. It does not matter what they do from here on out. They have lost the most important thing...RESPECT.

Where is the outrage for what these two "leaders" did? Why was nothing done to either one of them? There are legal ways to hire a prostitute. They were not even smart enough to do that! They both broke the law and are complete liars and hypocrites. Shame on them. Shame on us for allowing them to continue as the Sheriff and Undersheriff of our county. I thought there was going to be a recall petition to remove Munks from office. I would sign it and all of the friends and neighbors I have spoken to said they would as well.

Be careful who Sheriff Munks promotes. I doubt there are no strings attached and he and [portion removed] Bolanos will do anything to stay in office and no criminal charges brought against them. Even the Deputy District Attorneys are careful what they say about Munks for fear the District Attorney will terminate them. So much for freedom of speech.

"Careful" should go back to his/her conspiracy theory books. How does the promotion of two guys have anything to do with the whole dollhouse thing? And where do you get this non-sense about deputy da's being careful what they say for fear of termination. This is not an episode of 24. Take a breath already. We will have a chance to vote him out soon enough, but this other stuff smacks of watching batman too many times.

The Operation Dollhouse case makes it pretty clear that these weren't prostitutes so much as sex slaves brought into the country under false pretenses and forced to prostitute themselves in order to pay back the pimps.

It makes the whole thing even more horrible.

No law abiding police officer would ever trust a person who was promoted under a regime that should be terminated and doing time in Las Vegas. The Sheriff and his under achieved under sheriff Bolanos should be stripped of the ability to promote. They are looking for individuals who do not listen to their conscious and are other wise known as cowards who will be their yes men and women. I don't care if the truth hurts you get another job.

I sent Sheriff Greg Munks a certified letter dated May 14, 2007 demanding his and Bolanos' resignation, last month 7/22/08 I gave that letter to the Board of Supervisors, with photo of the residence (our CUSTOMERS were caught) 3434 Eldon Street, LV NV. and copies of these two e-mails from Fox and Wagstaffe.

I invited the Board to demand both of them to resign as I did. I suggested if they could not do it as Board Members, they could do it as private citizens.

To this day not a word from any one of our leaders.

The statement about the DDA's is true and it would apply to all of our Sheriff Deputies also.

"I just want to let you both know how sorry I am for what you are going through with the media frenzy. It isn't easy getting beaten up in the media, but hopefully it will all be yesterday's news by tomorrow, If there is anything I can do to help or provide support, please know I am more than willing."
Hang in there.

Just a quick word of support from me as you go through a difficult time. To those who matter, your decades of outstanding work in law enforcement are all that count and your integrity is not the slightest marked by the modern media's efforts to make a story out of a non-story. Hard as it is to think it now, remember it will be yesterday's news and irrelevant by tomorrow.

My positive thoughts are out there for both of you.
Steve
