Hi folks,
My toddler's preschool has a few openings and I wanted to help get the word out since high quality places are so hard to find.
It's called Mi Escuelita, or My Little School, and it's in Fair oaks Menlo Park (near Middlefield just past Willow road. Dalila is wonderful engaging children and teaching spanish in a low-stress way...
All the research points to learning a second language during the early years to be proficient. Kids are already learning dozens of words a day, why not use that skill to add a second language before it gets harder!?!

This is a full year after the original post was made and Mi Escuelita has once again a few openings. My son has been a student at Mi Escuelita since last October and we are delighted with the school. This is a fantastic resource for parents who are interested in introducing Spanish into their kids' life at an early age. Especially now, with the two new Spanish Immersion Programs at Encinal and Laurel. Dalila, the school director, is not only very knowledgeable but also very patient and attentive with the kids. This is a fantastic way to improve our kids chances to get into the public immersion programs when they get to kindergarten!

Exposure to a second language early in life is a wonderful thing, and should be encouraged. However, the Menlo Park district's Spanish bilingual program uses a lottery system to select students.
Having early exposure to Spanish may improve the speed with which a child picks up Spanish in the classroom, but it's not going to improve his or her chances of getting into the program.
