Multi-Handed Ragtime Blast Mar. 11 in Menlo Park

Original post made by Nan Bostick, Menlo Park: Felton Gables, on Feb 20, 2009

Menlo Park’s Nan Bostick, a consummate ragtime pianist and historian, will be joined by Mystic, Connecticut’s Ivory and Gold Trio for a multi-handed ragtime performance March 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the 1st Baptist church, 1000 Middle (corner Arbor) in Menlo Park. Bostick and the Trio’s leader, Jeff Barnhart, will hold forth on two piano with Anne Barnhart on her golden flute and Grammy-winning percussionist Danny Coots (a dead-ringer for Stan Laurel) cutting up as usual on drums. The Mar. 11 Ragtime Blast is a benefit for the local Children’s Ministry Fund. Donations of $25 or any amount will be gratefully accepted. Reservations are not required. Doors open at 6:30. For more information, contact Carol Maslin at 650-323-8544 or Directions to the church may be found at Web Link.

Jeff and Anne Barnhart, currently in Seaside, OR with an iffy phone line connection to the internet wrote to say they'd like to submit the following comment:

To all in the Town Square community. Thank you for such a great write-up and for letting folks know about our upcoming exciting event. We had a marvelous time playing to packed houses with our good friend Nan Bostick in 2008 and are eagerly looking forward to more terrific music, meeting new friends and fans and sharing America's greatest music with you all!! Again, thank you for all of your efforts. See you in March!

Don't miss out on the discussion!
