Original post made by Morris Brown, Menlo Park: Park Forest, on Mar 31, 2009

Last evening (12:10 AM 3/31/09), the Palo Alto City council on a 5-3 vote decided to file an Amicus brief in support of the Lawsuit filed by Menlo Park, Atherton et. al. against the Certified EIR for the High Speed Rail project.

Their council is to be commended for taking this action.

EAR TO THE RAIL

You should learn something about posting etiquette. One doesn't post with capital letters; it is considered shouting and shows lack of knowledge.

The PA staff did a marvelous job of analyzing the impacts and the council in a remarkable change of policy, when learning the true situation, has reacted appropriately.

It is too bad the Mayor, who I respect immensely, would not join the majority in seeking to protect the City. Its a poor decision on his part, but he will have to live with it. As for Yoriko, she just want to go to a higher office. She just doesn't get it and surely the voters will get it and she will go nowhere higher. I don't know where Barton's head is, but it is not aligned properly.

Congrats to the PA council 5 person majority on this issue.
