Menlo-Atherton led a seesaw battle, 9-8, heading into the sixth inning, but then saw Washington score four runs aided by two M-A errors, a walk, and a hit batter. Dane Vande Guchte pitched the final three innings to earn the victory for Washington, while M-A pitcher Kyle Zirbes took the loss. The defeat dropped M-A's record to 2-4, while Washington is now 10-3.
