Mary Smith drops appeal in death of husband

Mary Smith of Portola Valley, who unsuccessfully sued Woodside resident Anthony Rose over an incident that she claimed wrongfully resulted in the death of her husband, has dropped her appeal of that decision and paid Mr. Rose about $100,000 for his attorney fees.
