Regarding "Yogurt Face-Off"

customer of the Yogurt Stop, and through that I have become a friend
of the owner, Soheila. So what I am about to say may reflect a bit of
bias on my part.
That having been said, and being as objective as I can, I really thought that the Almanac's "Yogurt Face-Off" article was unfairly slanted toward highlighting and showcasing the three "new kids on the block", while briefly and somewhat dismissively mentioning the "old news" Yogurt Stop as if it is some relic from the past. The article had many pictures of the other shops and their owners (including talking about how two of them have MBAs etc) and their customers, with only just a few sentences about the Yogurt Stop at the end of the article.
Of the four shops you covered, in addition to my regular visits to
Yogurt Stop, I personally have only tried WildBerry. I must say that I
prefer Yogurt Stop hands down, in terms of taste, quality, and value.
I really think the Almanac should have some sort of revision or addendum to their article to more fairly portray the qualities of Yogurt Stop, including pictures and some customer testimonials. I know firsthand that the Yogurt Stop has many loyal customers, has "kept up with the times" by serving the highest quality yogurt, is one of the few shops (possibly the only) in the Bay Area that has not one but two non-sugar flavors on a regular basis, has always had organic plain tart, and has special yogurt machines that gives the yogurt a special light and fluffy consistency that no other shop has. They also have all the gourmet toppings (including a wide assortment of both "dry" and fresh fruit toppings). Soheila goes out of her way to make the shop a nice environment for children and their parents, and always hires very nice staff people.
Please note that I was not asked to do this by Soheila or anyone else. This is just my honest opinion.
