My advice to Mrs. Janz is "get used to it, get over it". Your husband is a public figure.
My advice is also that Mrs. Janz honest with herself and that she encourage her husband to do the same.
Mrs. Janz has said that her household complied with all of the Town's zoning ordinances. This is no more true than in the case of Elizabeth Lewis. (I fit funny but not humorous that Mrs. Lewis expressed the same kind of outrage as does Mrs. Janz).
It is a matter of public record that the Janz household had improvements done for which a final inspection was not done until well after the permit had expired. It also appears as though the Janz household had seismic improvements done which were never subject to a final inspection.
It is an established fact that Mr. Janz relied on his buddy former Building Official Mike Hood to grant a favor that Mr. Hood did not have the legal authority to grant.
I know this because I discovered it and I brought it to the attention of the former City Attorney, Marc Hynes.
As far as Mr. Carpenter's criticism of anonymous postings go, I can understand why people do so. I was the subject of a personnel investigation, termination and a criminal investigation. I had to spend two years and well over $100,000 to clear my name.
I consider Mr. Janz to be at least partially responsible for my suffering and the suffering of the community as a whole.
