After going undefeated in Burgess League Basketball with a perfect 8 – 0 record, the 7th Grade La Entrada Boys Basketball Team, coached by Tarny Perkins and Bill Barrett, won a tough battle over Hillview to win the Burgess League Championship by a score of 44 – 38. Leading all scorers was Christian Perkins who poured in 22 points. Christian’s twin brother Jesse Perkins led the attack at the point guard position while Will Lyons played relentless defense. Contributing to the winning season by powering inside with great rebounding skills and post moves were David Mapa, Zach Klein, Sean Barrett and David Mataele. Scott Guardia played an all around game, contributing 6 points while Brady Coggins and Timmy Coleman both made key plays to help determine the winning outcome.
