Baseball: M-A Bears move back into a tie for 3rd Place

Original post made by Rick Vujovich, Menlo-Atherton High School, on May 4, 2007

Menlo Atherton avenged an earlier loss this week to San Mateo by winning the rematch with a 4-1 score. Pitcher Tami Vujovich tossed a complete game 2 hitter with 8 strikeouts and only 1 walk. The game winning hit was delivered by Ellen Knapp in the 6th inning with a bases clearing double that secured the victory for M-A. Olivia Vagelos and Tami Vujovich , both from M-A, each had 2 hits in the game.

Ashley Mason and L.Pacheco hit back to back doubles to score the only run for San Mateo in the 6th inning. Menlo Atherton moved back into a 3rd place tie with San Mateo with this victory.
