"Loss estimated at $1,000 in theft of wallet from an unlocked vehicle, Oak Lane, July 29."

I'm amazed at the same old story over and over again.
Why on earth would you leave a wallet (laptop/phone etc) in your car and then NOT lock it?

Among the Almanac communities that did not have newsworthy crimes this week are Atherton, West Menlo Park, Woodside, Ladera, Vista Verde and Los Trancos Woods.

This list is subject to change every week, depending on the level of reported misconduct and the inclusion of such misconduct in weekly reports generated by the law enforcement agencies, including the police department in Menlo Park and Atherton and the Sheriff's Office.
