I think Aaron Juarez may have missed Tara VanDerveer's stint as the Coach of the US Olympic Women's Baskball Team, in Atlanta?? The same year Skip Kenny, also a Stanford coach, coached the US Men's Swim Team. In my opinion, Tara VanDerveer is one of the top, female role models, for all women; athletes and non-athletes. She has not only perfected the performances of her outstanding female players, and facilitated making them strong team, but she has demonstrated for them, their competitors, and the world that women can be smart, strong, reliable and honorable and be first class winners. She richly deserves this honor.

Congrats Coach,
As a Female Athlete and former Division One Basketball player I always wanted to have a coach like Tara , but there are not too many like her. Her players learn more than just Basketball, and she empowers them with many riches. Thanks Tara for your outstanding leadership and providing so much to female Athletes!
