San Mateo County prosecutors say there is insufficient evidence to try a Hillsborough police officer with domestic violence and trespassing for allegedly entering his ex-girlfriend’s home and pushing her into a stove...'
" She threatened to call police, but he allegedly said nothing would happen to him because he was a cop, according to the District Attorney’s Office."

Nothing unexpected here. Wagstaffe as well as his predecessor Jim Fox and his current deputy Karen Guidotti [portion deleted], all have a different system of law when applied to law enforcement versus the public paying the taxes.
I can assure you that if a non-cop in San Mateo County barged into his ex-girlfriend's home and pushed her into a stove, he would be criminally prosecuted.
Let's keep in mind there were TWO witnesses, the ex-girlfriend as well as her current date who was present in that home. In the article Wagstaffe hints the ex-girlfriend wasn't keen on testifying, but there was another witness.
