The City has been incredibly conservative in processing the specific plan. The scope of the plan has changed drastically in response to individual concerns -- in my opinion the City is erring on the side of caution and taking more out of the plan than is necessary. However, the end result is still a very good compromise and puts the El Camino corridor in terrific position for positive and healthy growth in the near term. I encourage the City Council to see through what they've started, resist making any further substantive changes, and get it done on June 5!
