Ms. Butler-Morton, certainly institutionalized racism is alive & well these days, all over. But rest assured that many, many Menlo residents, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender or income level, get ignored by your city officials. I live in EPA & we've had to rain heck down on Menlo to deal w/our concerns re Facebook. Look at Menlo STILL ignoring Atherton. So you all are not alone! But that aside, I truly wish you luck. Your current program is an effective one, according to what I've heard & read. I hope that if you go the fundraising route, you all are successful. Best of luck.

A big thank you to the parents, young adults, staff, Belle Haven community residents and friends of the Belle Haven Afterschool program for coming out and speaking out at the Menlo Park City Council meetings especially last night's meeting. To our children who were very patient during the meetings, continue to do well in school and at the afterschool program, we believe in you, the program and will fight for you!
