Report: Economic impact of electric Caltrain

Modernizing the Caltrain corridor with electrified trains and updated signal systems could create 9,600 jobs in the Bay Area, according to a report released this week by the Bay Area Council Economic Institute.

Would like to know/clarification on the following statement, "could generate billions of dollars in benefits, including short-term economic stimulus and long-term increases in real estate values"...

1. How is this ANY different than HSR?

2. Seeing the trains daily, I ASSURE you they are MUCH more empty than full of riders therefore, WHERE is "ridership going up and up?

3. How can WE, AS A COMMUNITY, TRUST THIS/think of this any differently as we have been lied to over and over again, from the begining?

We San Mateo County have over 13,000 empty houses per our last census report.
