Portola Valley millionaire denied bail after 36 years in prison

Fred Woods has been in prison since 1976. Previous to that, he lived on a 79 acre estate at the corner of Portola Road and Alpine Road. ABC News report: Web Link

For those of you who think the Chowchilla kidnappers were just a bunch of misguided rich kids who have now "served their time" and deserve release, you should read this article about the parole hearing.

The 79 acre estate was donated to Mid-Peninsula Open Space District last year and it will be added to the Windy Hill Open Space Preserve.
