This looks like another blatant police activity under the guise of traffic safety to raise money. It appears they don't have a lot of serious crime fighting to occupy their time so this is it.

Not hard to issue 225 citations that include distracted driving. There isnt a day I don't see a car slow or wander and on passing them see the driver w a hand held device. When the cat's away, the mice will click and drive - not a good era to be walking or biking. Yikes.

So when are they coming to Menlo Park? If they want to "raise money" as falcon suggests, they'd be able to clean up here, and more importantly, those of us who feel threatened every time we walk downtown and across El Camino might feel a little safer. I say BRING THEM ON.
