Hillview School playing field nears finish line

The school district and city are racing against the clock to try to open the new Hillview Middle School playing field by this weekend, allowing local lacrosse teams to use the field as scheduled and wrapping up a project originally expected to be completed by last Dec. 1.

Is this the field that they had originally promised to open last December? What part of this project actually came in on time? Hard to believe there's a full-time paid staff person just to oversee construction.

you want it done right or fast with lots of problems. Looks like a nice field and should serve the kids and the community well.
