I probably would've done the same thing. Tired of these young kids thinking that the only way to survive is to rob, steal and kill...My comments to the criminals...go back to school and earn an education to help yourself do better and inspire others young men in your community to do the same.

If this does not open your eyes to the fact that citizens in your area are tired of the crime rates, and are standing up to you to bring safety back into their communities, then nothing but jail or the grave will tell you..

Unless you have self defense or other training, it is a good way to get those "opened eyes" punched out or worse.

So Fred, is it better to then just let the criminals run amok? If criminals thought there was a good chance that people would fight back, they might think twice.
But we have such a complacent, sheep like mentality in this country now, that we sit around and wait for someone else to help when something bad happens.

That guy did the right thing. I for one am not going to sit around and wait for the police if someone is trying to do harm to me.

9/11 could have been prevented if people weren't so damn scared, and lulled into complacency by the police. What would have happend if they had rushed the terrorists armed with plastic forks and box cutters? Some people would have gotten some minor cuts? No, instead you had planes with 200-300 people on them, who allowed 4-5 guys to fly them into a building. If people had fought back, they would never have gotten control of those planes.

Our country used to be a nation of frontier people who didn't need to rely on anyone for anything, now we are more like the Romans shortly before the empire fell.

I'd rather die on my feet, than live on my knees.

Two out of three! I'm so excited to read that there is still some spirit and gumption in otherwise politically correct Menlo Park. While [Portion deleted - don't attack posters] Fred is backing off, red-blooded men are stepping forward as Americans once did and always should. Keep the punks off your lawn!

My comment was to the robbers as they do not know who they are about to rob, please pardon my poor grammar. Two against one has always been a "neighbor's" fun, as in "whassup ma neighba". Most robbers are opportunists. Robbers and citizens need to be alert.

So some of you don't see the difference between risking your life to save a plane full of passengers and risking your life for $20? No wonder our country's homicide rate is through the ceiling. It's those red-blooded "men."
