La Honda Open Space Preserve Plan, "Public Invited", although how ironic that the meeting is held so far away from the community where the impact will be felt the greatest. I only was aware of this meeting by chance, no formal posting in the local Post Offices etc.
The proposed preserve plan (2007 map)looks to be very encouraging for all aspects of outdoor recreation; including(and so needed, are the extensive trails that are proposed for usage by, equestrian, hikers, and bikers. A updated map would be helpful to receive comment on.

This will be the third public hearing this year on the La Honda Creek Open Space Preserve master plan. The first was held in May in Half Moon Bay, and the second was held in June in San Carlos. The meetings have been held on both sides of "the hill" in an effort to make the meetings accessible to both the people on the coast who live near the preserve, and the people on the bayside of the Peninsula whose property taxes fund the open space district. Community outreach was done for each meeting including fliers, media, emails, mailings, etc. Anyone interested in being notified about this project can contact the Open Space District and give their contact information to be sure to receive notice on meetings and activities.
