Sister City Program For Menlo Park
Menlo Park, posted by Good Will Ambassador, a resident of the Menlo Park: Downtown neighborhood, on Dec 9, 2012 at 3:22 pm

Following the visit from a gentlemen from Menlo Park (Galway)Ireland recently, as featured in a front page artcle published in The Almanac on October 24, 2012 interest has grown to consider establishing for the first time a Sister City program for Menlo Park. Palo Alto has six sister cities, as do many other cities, both in the Bay Area and across the nation. It's a popular program as it bridges friendship, cultural understanding, promotes exchange students, atheletes and others where common values and interest are obtained.

To explore and to better understand interest in the community, you may wish to chime in with a comment. If enough interest exists, an exploratory committee can be established. The financial cost is minimal, but the benefits can be many. Learning more about our friends in foreign lands can open doors, broaden our horizons and create lasting memories.
