Girl, 11, dies after accident on Interstate 280

An 11-year-old girl died from injuries sustained in Saturday's rollover accident on Interstate 280, just south of Page Mill Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The article states that there were 8 occupants in the vehicle.

I'm sure any necessary charges will be file once the investigation is complete. Meanwhile, let's focus on compassion rather than anger, at least until all the facts are in.

Also time for some adults to go back to school and redo reading comprehension--SteveC seems to miss a lot of facts when commenting on news articles. No where in this article is there a reference that would lead one to believe there were 11 people in that truck. Nor does the article describe the truck-standard cab, king cab, extended cab-granted 8 is likely still too many, but perhaps not as grossly over the limit as one might think. My sympathies to the family that lost a little one.

I resent that my comment was removed. Being angry about this "accident" is completely within reason. Driving on a freeway w/out any seat restraints for the little ones is outrageously dangerous - & look at the result. I am so sorry that these people were injured & that this young girl died due to *negligence* from the adults.

oops, ok 8 people. Still stupid and charges should be file. Compassion, yes, for the children. The parents, no. I agree with Hmmm

No Stevie c why don't you mind your own business it was an accident my mother does not need to face charges due to the fact my sister pased away in this accident how bout that
