Super Tuesday: Share your thoughts and experiences

Original post made by Renee Batti, news editor of The Almanac, on Feb 5, 2008

Anything interesting to report about your polling place experience today?

Did you throw away your vote by voting absentee for a candiate who later withdrew from the race?

What are your thoughts about Election Day results?

Did you ever think you'd live long enough to be able to cast your vote for a woman or an African American in a presidential primary?

We welcome your comments about Super Tuesday.

I found the electronic voting machine confusing at first and wondered why there weren't better instructions in the booth. But I felt lucky to have had access to one after hearing about the fiasco in Santa Clara County. And, my candidate won. On to November!

David Boyce is a registered user.

When I voted at the First Baptist Church of Menlo Park, I was undone by the voting machine, which froze near the end of my ballot.

Asked if I wanted to go to another machine or take a paper ballot, I chose the latter. A gut reaction, I guess, since I have not had trouble with the eSlate machine in the past.

I had no problems with my voting machine at the First Baptist Church.

There were more people there than usual, but no waiting. My husband and I cancelled out each other's votes in the Democratic primary, proudly affixed our "I voted" stickers and went on with our day.
