Didn't hear brave Mr. Carpenter recommend all those employee reductions he so arrogantly pushes on other agencies. And you know, we had a fire downtown today and we should be pleased with the response. Very pleased. My commendations to the bravey fire and police personnel for stepping up and protecting us again.

Peter, operational cuts and delayed spending are just the same alternatives you eschewed against our council only a few weeks ago...

Talk is cheap.

I don't think being fiscally responsible, and delving into the detail on costs associated with a budget deficit is "arrogant". I think Peter watches out for our tax dollar, and is actually the individual responsible for questioning the union's actions and contracts for the Fire District, when no one else will. Thank you Peter for being an independent voice of reason!

Questioning is not action. Try not to be confused by that. The only action Peter took was delaying spending to another day. Not exactly the trumped up stuff he was talking about in past posts.
