Unfortunately, the magazine also points out, in a sardonic type of way, that the city manager, George Rodericks, took home $245,233 in salary and benefits for "a town of 6,995".
Yup, that just don't make no sense.
That's thanks to the troika of leadership provided by Elizabeth Lewis, Cary Wiest, and Jerry Carlson.

Recall Atherton being #1 in the past (for zip codes, for a combo of real estate price and income). What happened? Hard times? Or old school money can't compete with new money being generated in tech, or the banksters on Wall St, hedge funds, etc..
Hey, if the town wants to pay a guy a quarter mil, that's our issue. If we want a high end police department, that's our right. We vote.
