Where is the Atherton police in all of this? This is a small town. Can't they provide a meaningful deterrent to prowlers in the middle of the night?
This is after a rich contract was just awarded, again, making them the highest paid police officers in Northern California by salary (perhaps all of California). This is after the parcel tax was rammed down our throats, again.
Don't tell me we need to hire more cops and pay higher taxes. That's not a solution. May as well move to the sheriff in that case.
