I was so excited to see this on my aggregated news feed for computer science! I remember having my first computer class at WES in 1983 when I was in kindergarten watching our then principal Mr. Spring showing us the wonders of the Apple IIe. He described the art of writing logic so simply and intuitively for children that to this day I haven't forgotten it: "A computer understands only exactly what you tell it and in that order. So if you tell it to 'put on your shoes and socks' the computer will first put on your shoes and then your socks over your shoes!" That's paraphrasing it a bit I'm sure but still absurdly hilarious for us back then... I'm so proud of my hometown for continuing to lead the way in educating young children with computer science!

Neat article! The writer's enthusiasm is motivating. It makes me want to learn how to write code too. Imagine a computer game programmed by individual users!
Glad the article included links should we want to learn more.
Wonderful for the students.
