I felt the overwhelming need to express how absolutely unforgettable the Whalers' Cove Beach experience is and continues to be every visit(which is every possible time I can!)! It is abundant with spectacular beauty, from the great photo opportunities of Pacific Ocean mixed blue hues to the historic Pigeon Point Lighthouse that towers on the cliffs above you! The wonderful thing about this place is the remarkable seclusion and lack of crowds and even when windy in other locations close by, this beach stays relatively calm because of the cliffs surrounding it. When the tide is out this beach takes on a whole new meaning, it's a magical collection of shells, rocks, tidepools that boast lively creatures, starfish clinging to the rock walls and the ocean glimmering and beckoning you to take your up-teenth picture! The Pigeon Point Lighthouse offers lodging in the way of a Hostel! I have stayed there on numerous trips there and highly recommend the experience if you enjoy people and a unique opportunity to stay at such a scenic, historic location with a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean with a gorgeous sunset from any spot surrounding the Lughthouse! I hope this place brings the smile to your face that it brings mine and the sun shines brightly on you while you visit! If you are interested in pics as I mentioned earlier I have many incredable shots, please feel free to send me your comments to AquaV411@aol.com!
