"Republican Congressman Darrell Issa may be investigating Solyndra, but he cooperated with the company's lead lobbyist Wednesday on one thing supporting Mitt Romney for president. The event was hosted by a group of lobbyists, including a leading political representative for Solyndra."
"Issa, the Vista Republican who is chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, announced a month ago that his committee would investigate $535 million of government loan guarantees for the now-bankrupt Fremont-based solar manufacturer."
Paints a real difficult choice for Issa: do the right thing and investigate to score political points against Obama, or take loads of cash from lobbyists. Can he do both?
One finds it odd that Romney would want Solyndra cash and influence anywhere near his campaign. I guess money talks and hint of scandal walks, at least until he becomes frontrunner again.
