Atherton police phone call to residents

This is not protected union association. This is an overt threat.
How many residents will now feel afraid to put out signs for other candidates?
Col. Flint has lost control of his officers. He should resign.

Peter Carpenter is a registered user.
"Col. Flint has lost control of his officers. He should resign."
Chief Flint is NOT responsible for police officers who are exercising, both irresponsibly and unwisely, their First Amendment Rights. The APOA phone call will do much more harm than good to their cause - which is simply job and benefit protection rather than service to the community.

"The community has no idea what this council's doing," John Mattes told Patch. "And when I say this council, let me be crystal clear. I am not referring to Elizabeth Lewis. We supported her four years ago when she ran; we're supporting her again."
John Mattes is VP of the APOA.

How is it the guy who answers the phone at the Police Department is now telling the residents of Atherton who to vote for, and not in a very nice way.
"Let me be crystal clear" Are you kidding me, is this a bad joke. I agree with Peter here this will do much more harm than good.
