Is it true that the government spent over $100 million of sales tax money for just a couple of miles of freeway ramps? What a boondoggle. Think of the important projects that were cancelled because of our over-dependence on cars. That amount of money could have gone a long way towards fixing local public education or public transit or health care.

Don't even start. Look up the price tag on the pedestrian bridge. We could have funded a private limo service for every student needing to cross the freeway for 20 years for what that bridge cost or, less sarcastically, we could have improved pedestrian & bicycle crossings at willow and marsh - two direct pathways to Facebook commuters etc. Instead we have a huge concrete eyesoar dumping right into people's back yard only used by a handful. What a waste.
