A painting valued at more than $100,000 by noted Filipino portraitist and landscape painter Fernando Amorsolo is missing from an Atherton home, according to a report from the Atherton Police Department.

I recall another in home robbery from a few years back in which a significant amount of jewelry was stolen from home. It seemed sketchy because all the jewelry was out and about for the thieves to take when they broke in, instead of in a safe. Do the police investigate whether any of this is insurance fraud?
