Since there's only one grade there that gets STAR tested, I realize this may be an aberration. Is this a squirrel-y class of kids (I know Oak Knoll's current 5th grade class tends to test low) or is something going on at Laurel? It seems bizarre that it's named as a National Blue Ribbon School at the same time that the results show it performing so badly on the STAR tests.

The award is based on many criteria, not just STAR scores.
But yes, that class is a well known aberration. Maybe it's a Y2K thing, since most were born in 1999.
