How to make your TownSquare posts more readable and effective

-- Write your message in a word processing program, such as Microsoft Word, with the spell-check turned on. That way you will catch a lot of typos and spelling errors. (When you are finished, copy and paste the text into the TownSquare form.)
-- Write in shorter paragraphs. Pressing the Enter key on your keyboard creates a space before the start of the next paragraph.
-- Read your message before you send it. Are you being clear? Is there a more effective way to say it?

--Sentences are underrated. Try one today!
--Don't assume the readers live inside your head and know the last five things you were thinking about before you tap out one cryptic sentence.

This is a community forum. I enjoy reading it to see what people in different parts of our community are thinking. I'm interested in the poster's thoughts not their spelling. Posters write with emotion, and I've never had a problem understanding the points they are trying to make.

Another Twain quote, paraphrased: "If someone knocks on my door and, when I ask who it is, answers 'It is I,' I wouldn't let him in."
Personally, I have always enjoyed reading writing by diligent people whose strengths lie elsewhere.
