Coastal cleanup day
Tens of thousands of Californians are expected to take part in the annual California Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, Sept. 25.
Volunteers are asked to show up at cleanup locations at 9 a.m., and bring their own bucket or reusable bag, gloves, and reusable water bottle. Most cleanups end by noon.
On the coast, volunteers for Pillar Point should meet at Pillar Point Harbor near the HMB Kayak Company. From Highway 1, turn west onto Capistrano Road at the light.
For cleanup of San Francisquito Creek, volunteers will meet at the corner of Manhattan Avenue and Woodland Road in Menlo Park. For cleanup in Bedwell Bayfront Park, located on the east side of U.S. 101 off Marsh Road and Bayfront Expressway, volunteers will meet in the park's first parking lot.
