Letter: Freedoms are slipping away in Menlo Park
Editor:
If the Menlo Park City Council gets its way, you won't be able to smoke in your own home and you won't be able to park in your city of residence.
In a land that promotes freedom, is that right and just? Our council says no all to often, to you, me and the public good. I don't smoke, but I believe people in their own homes have the right to.
How are our local merchants going to survive with the proposed new parking regulations? How about if the City Council only got 15-20 minutes for their weekly meetings and we charged them for every minute of time they spent over that?
