Letter: My vote is for Heyward Robinson
I have worked with Heyward Robinson over the last decade. I've found him to be fact-based and flexible. I think he and Rich Cline have done a fantastic job fighting for Menlo Park's interests regarding high-speed rail.
He is not bound by ideology that I've observed in other candidates for City Council. He does not let "perfect" get in the way of getting things done, which is what has kept Menlo Park from progressing in recent years.
Heyward is an excellent listener and a consensus builder both at work and when working on council matters. He uses a common sense, practical approach, which is why he is getting support this year on both the "liberal" and "conservative" sides of Menlo Park.
We need someone who can find win-win solutions between disparate sides. That is why I am voting for Heyward Robinson for Menlo Park City Council.
