Bookmark and Share
Three festively decorated Atherton homes will be featured in the "Home Sweet Home for the Holidays" annual tour, presented by the St. Francis High School Women's Club.

This is the 22nd year for the tour, which will be held Friday and Saturday, Dec. 3 and 4. Friday tour time is 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; Saturday tour time is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be preview party and twilight tour on Thursday, Dec. 2. The twilight tour will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. A cocktail buffet will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Palo Alto. Cost of the preview party and tour is $125 per person.

At least 3,000 visitors are expected to tour the holiday homes. Over the years, the event has raised more than $2 million for the Mountain View high school.

The homes of the Rick Bahr, Jim Hannay, and Cris Wedekind families will be featured on the tour.

Visitors to one of the homes will find a "Twelfth Night" table setting created by Tiffany & Co. There will be a drawing for the "Twelfth Night" table, which includes a complete service for eight with china, crystal, coordinating serving pieces and more, valued at $5,000. A drawing for the table setting will be held Dec. 4.

In this year's format, the preview party, complimentary tea, Christmas boutique and luncheon, will all be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Palo Alto.

Homemade baked goods, eggnog, hot cider, tea and coffee are included in the tour price of $40. Luncheon will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Luncheon tickets are $35.

Visit sfhs.com or call 965-1213, ext. 701, for tickets. On-street parking will be available at the homes.
