Mulligan rejoins Humane Society board
Kate Mulligan of Menlo Park has recently rejoined the Humane Society of Silicon Valley Board of Directors after taking a year's sabbatical.
She previously served on the board from 2003 to 2009, chairing it for four of those years when the focus was on fundraising, planning and construction to open the new Animal Community Center in Milpitas.
Ms. Mulligan also serves on the Board of the Foundation for the Future at Menlo-Atherton High School. She worked for 17 years in biotechnology, diagnostics, and life-science positions.
She received her MBA from the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management and holds a bachelor's degree in nutritional sciences from UC Berkeley.
Ms. Mulligan and her family have two dogs, Bear and Stinson, both of whom were adopted from the Humane Society of Silicon Valley. The organization places pets and offers lost-and-found services, medical care, boarding, grooming and dog training.
