Letter: Biker priced out of Caltrain commute
I used to be a regular rider of Caltrain with my bicycle, commuting from Los Gatos to Redwood City.
Last year, with ticket costs and the risk of being bumped increasing, I reduced my ridership significantly. Although it took more than twice as long via bike and train than by car, I still tried to do my part to be green. With this last fair increase, it now costs more than three times as much to take the train then to drive my car. The inconvenience of being bumped along with the ever-increasing cost has driven many of us away and back to our cars.
