Letter: Grateful for clear thoughts on C-1 trail

Thank you, Steve Schmidt, for your accurate and enlightening explanation of the C-1 trail fiasco on last week's Viewpoint pages. We are proud to be neighbors of Stanford University, but it is certainly time for Stanford to recognize its huge impact on the surrounding communities and to cooperate accordingly.
