Robert Jamplis to serve as Navy pilot
Robert Prior Jamplis was commissioned as a lieutenant junior grade on Aug. 22 at the U.S. Naval Base in Jacksonville, Florida. He will serve as a pilot in the U.S. Navy.
After he completes additional training in San Diego, he will be deployed to Tokyo, where he will fly SH 60 bravo helicopters with the Warlord Squadron.
He is a graduate of Woodside High School and the University of Southern California. He is the son of Mark and Robin Jamplis and the grandson of the late Dr. Robert and Roberta Jamplis. The Jamplis family members were longtime Atherton residents.
