Letter: Almanac's advice not needed in Woodside
Last week's Almanac Viewpoint column advises the Woodside Town Council to deny Steve Jobs the demolition permit he has sought since 2001 to remove the decrepit Jackling House from his property and allow him to build a smaller, more modern structure for him and his family.
However, the council approved the permit last week. This is a victory for property rights and a defeat for the efforts of out-of-town "conservationists" to bend the wealthy towards their wishes. Moreover, Woodside does not need the advice of The Almanac in reaching decisions. Its editorials might be better focused on say El Camino Real, the "Royal Road" that is a civic eyesore.

Tha Almanac has such a egregious bias that it is only capable of doing the bidding of the far left groups that seem to dominate the Menlo Park political scene these days. Tom Gibboney & Gail Slocum. What are the differences other than gender age, and occupation? [Portion removed; see terms of use]

It is irresponsible to cover City Council business with a strong bias.
