Celebrating seniors
The Menlo Park Senior Center in Belle Haven invites the public to celebrate and honor "extraordinary seniors" who have reached 90 years and beyond, says Lilian Alfaro, a Menlo Park social services coordinator.
The event will be held at noon Wednesday, May 27, in the Grand Ballroom of the Menlo Park Senior Center at 110 Terminal Ave. in Menlo Park.
There will be live entertainment by Dean Ratzman, who will sing and perform American hit songs from the 1940s to 1960s on piano, cornet and trombone.
"We will have a nutritious and delicious barbecue chicken meal and special gifts for the birthday guests of honor," says Ms. Alfaro.
The suggested donation is $5 for seniors. For more information, call 330-2287.
